Against the Plagues

"Decoding the Mainframe"
Consisting of members from Luciferion, Forest Of Impaled and Malevolent Creation this Swedish-Polish-American band is hardly lacking in experience and more than a sum of its part. Led by guitar wizard Wojtek Lisicki (Luciferion, ex-Lost Horizon) Against the Plagues is, musically, a continuation of the direction started on Luciferion's second semi-conceptual album "The Apostate". Like tha...

"Nous Reviedrons Immortels"
From the ever fertile soil of France comes this black metal act, which was originally formed under the name Empires de Glace. After a stereotypical synthesizer intro with samples of howling winds and thunderstorms and moody spoken monk vocals give way to a rather traditional Scandinavian interpretation of the genre. The music is mostly inspired by the likes of Dark Funeral and Marduk with sweeping...

Disfigured Dead

Wouter Roemers
Death metal is such a limitless genre. You can do whatever you'd like. It can be over the top technical or slow. Brutal or insane and it's all so good. When we made "Visions of Death" it just came out with a natural old school-ish vibe and that's great, but our newer material has a much more modern technical vibe. I love how death metal has evolved.

  • Orange Goblin - no new album soon

    2010-03-11

London-based doom metallers ORANGE GOBLIN have announced that due to various circumstances, there will be no new album for the foreseeable future.

The band have said, "With everybody’s commitments to work, family and other things, we have decided that it is best that we do not commit to any deadline for the next album as we wouldn’t want to rush and deliver a record that we are not 100% happy with. Song writing will continue as and when we can but we honestly couldn’t say when we will be ready to go into the studio to record again, it will definitely NOT be in 2010. Please rest assured that it will happen but sometimes it is better to stop and think of what is best for Orange Goblin as a band!"

Members of Orange Goblin will once again be spinning discs at their Metal Disco at this years Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Holland. The festival takes place from 15th to the 18th of April and boasts an amazing line-up over the four days featuring GOATSNAKE, SHRINEBUILDER, ENSLAVED, EYEHATEGOD, YOB, KYLESA, TRIPTYKON, THORRS HAMMER, KARMA TO BURN, COMUS, CHURCH OF MISERY, BRANT BJORK & THE BROS, THE GATES OF SLUMBER, SOURVEIN, DIXIE WITCH and many, many more!!!
