Coś nowa płyta przeszła niezauważona przez forum, a szkoda, bo materiał Holendrzy wydali zacny. Nie ma generyczności, nie ma geriatryczności, nie ma gówna, że się skupię na tej jednej literze. Czy tylko ja jeden słucham tego płytu z uśmiechem na ustach?

Dobra płyta. Bardzo w ich starym stylu.

Ja bym nawet powiedział, że świetna, a nie tylko dobra. Na dobre płyty nie mam więcej czasu niż jeden odsłuch, a do tej wracam z przyjemnością regularnie. Energia az bije po uszach, tak samo jak świetne riffy i rytmika. Jak na tak wyświechtany gatunek jakim jest death/thrash to ta płyta zaskakuje, i to bardzo, na plus. Posłuchałbym ich sobie w jakieś piwnicy na żywca.

Coś nowa płyta przeszła niezauważona przez forum, a szkoda, bo materiał Holendrzy wydali zacny. Nie ma generyczności, nie ma geriatryczności, nie ma gówna, że się skupię na tej jednej literze. Czy tylko ja jeden słucham tego płytu z uśmiechem na ustach?

Nie ty jeden. Tak samo jak zeszłoroczne Pentacle, tak tutaj to tradycyjne podejście do materii wychodzi tylko i wyłącznie na plus. Jest zrobione umiejętnie i bez męczenia buły. Sam jestem zaskoczony jak często wracam do tej pozycji. Myślałem też, że tylko ja.

Na żywo widziałem tylko raz, jakieś 15 lat temu przed Gorefest i w razie czego polecam

W ogóle uważam, że z całej ekipy "starych" kapel z Holandii THANATOS jest traktowany najmniej poważnie, a przecież poreaktywacyjne albumy są bez wyjątku bardzo dobre. Nowy jest jednym z lepszych z nich.

Zawsze byli tak trochę na dalszym planie za granicami swojego kraju. Co prawda tam jest tylko jeden członek, który to ciągnie z nowymi muzykami, ale robi to całkiem dobrze. Wracając do tych koncertów, to The Silent War czy mój ulubiony na tej płycie Outer Darkness są wręcz idealnymi kawałkami do tańca.

Agonia records will release an album featuring previously unreleased material entitled ‘Four Decades Of Death’. Both the CD and vinyl version will contain a bonus DVD featuring a multi-cam registration of the band’s very last live show in Rotterdam on September 10th 2022 plus lots of bonus material. The album will be released as a limited gatefold LP (various colours vinyl) and a digipack CD/DVD version. Release is planned for November 2022.

Apart from that, Vic Records will release a CD version of the band’s 35th anniversary show in 2019 (where various ex-band members joined the band on stage), entitled ‘Alive 35’ This release is planned for late October.

Thanatos - the first extreme metal band to emerge from the Netherlands and one of the oldest death metal bands around (dating back to 1984) - will release an anniversary album, "Four Decades Of Death", to celebrate the 40th year of its existence, on November 15th via Agonia Records. The first single, "Putrid Existence", is available now in the form of a lyric video and on streaming platforms.
The album consists of previously unreleased songs and a bonus DVD, which captures, on a multi-cam recording, the band's last live show from 2022.
"From beyond the grave we bring you this album with unreleased stuff from the past four decades plus a cool live registration of our last show ever," comments Thanatos's founder, Stephan Gebédi (Hail Of Bullets). "Filmed at the Baroeg Open Air festival in our hometown Rotterdam on September 10th 2022, the band played songs ranging from the early demo days to our final album «Violent Death Rituals» in front of about 8000 people. This is a posthumous celebration of our 40th anniversary. Releasing this rare, unreleased stuff on CD/vinyl and our final show on DVD feels like a great way to end things or, to put it more bluntly, put the last nail in our coffin!"
