Just want to explain what happened, as it's not so easy to understand.
The problem was not just power cuts in electricity. The public electricity had some problems with the power supply for one of the phases. The sound and light rig at concerts at big clubs and halls all require a rather huge effect outtake from the power supply. If you would plug it in into a regular socket like you have at home, it would just blow all the fuses immediately.
For the big rigs you also need a higher voltage (just like many stoves and washing machines). That is distributed via a 3 phase electricity.
The problem we had was that one of the phases died in the public electrical distribution in a whole part of the town. Some of the lights were on the other phase and the club tried to reconnect stuff in attempts of trying to save the show. So after the power went down the first time, there were no front lights, but even without them, the load became too heavy and the PA would blow the fuse all the time. So after 2 more attempts, we had to give in and come to terms that it would not be possible to complete the concert.
