Eternal pisze: Some weeks ago, HERITAGE RECORDINGS announced a re-release of WALKNUT - Graveforest and their Shadows on Vinyl.
Unfortunately, we must inform you, that this will be nothing else than an unauthorized/bootleg release!

We've tried to contact Heritage Recordings several times and explain the situation, but they don't want to co-operate with us to solve the Situation. The deal they concluded and entered is basically void as the person he worked for in any agreement has no right whatsoever to give HERITAGE RECORDINGS any vinyl license to release this, nether approval of artwork.

A./Stringsskald of Walknut owns all music rights for the songs on the album, the name, logo, and artwork. We have an official license agreement forged with him to work hand in hand for a re-edition of this album. There are no written agreements in existence known to him (the Artist) nor us (the Label) that prevent him from entering this official license.

We've tried several times simply to make HERITAGE RECORDINGS aware, simply to avoid any drama or statements. Since we have nothing to hide, we've sent the license paperwork we have to HERITAGE RECORDINGS, signed by A./Stringsskald and us, respectively both parties. But they first ignored our messages and then did not seem to take it too seriously and pointed responsibility to others. And now, apparently, they're on the way to issue a bootleg/counterfeit release.

HERITAGE RECORDINGS reported to have a contract with Ilja Babin, but they never showed us any proof or agreement...we are very skeptical about this, and we have to think there exists nothing.
Ilja Babin has no rights to the music and no paperwork/contract stating any license or right to maintain, pursue, and further exploit any of the music work(s) and masters from the album. HERITAGE RECORDINGS should rather ask for proof from that end to verify that what they do will be official.

Artist rights need to be kept and it`s the official artist sanctioned releases that matter. The only one that will actively be approved and with a reward that ends with the actual artist. Ignoring facts and using music (the so-called intellectual property of an individual person) without valid agreement will end up in a breach of copyright law.

Eternity Records will release an official re-release of the WALKNUT - Graveforests and their Shadows Vinyl in the near future (based on the pressing plant turnarounds)

So, don't support this bootleg release via HERITAGE RECORDINGS!
Why? Quite simply, the Artist, as the creator of the music you like to listen to, will have no word - no saying - no input - and ultimately no reward (be it financially or in any copies).
