Brutus - new drummer
Dutch death metallers BRUTUS have issued the following update:

"Some of you might be wondering who will be the individual that is seated behind the kit on the upcoming shows...

We have had a gigantic struggle to avoid cancelling the gigs. There are very few drummers we know personally that are capable enough to do the job. And when you finally think you've found yer man he ruptures something in his arm. At the very last moment somebody we have known for a while steps forward... We know he is a drummer but never considered him until the point where this guy says, 'By the way, I have been attempting to play your most straining song. Here's an mp3.'

Yuma van Eekelen (THE NEW DOMINION) has blown us away by learning so much new stuff in such a short period of time. We had to listen through at least 15 seconds of his recording to realize he is a very talented drummer and we feel 100% confident that his commitment to the task will also motivate us to make Brutus sound heavier than ever. Sothis - sign w/ Candlelight
Los Angeles based symphonic black metal band, SOTHIS, originally formed in late 1999. The founding members conducted an exhaustive search for Los Angeles' best, seeking like-minded musicians to complete an impressive line-up. Five years later, the band produced a complete line-up and entered the studio to record a four song self-titled demo. This demo would prove to be a critically acclaimed masterpiece that would land the band features in major magazines such as Revolver, Zero Tolerance, and Pit. The demo received nearly unanimous stellar reviews, even landing SOTHIS the coveted"Best Independent" release of 2005 in Canada's own Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles. SOTHIS embarked on a Southwest mini tour in support of the release of the demo and this successful tour would spawn the release of two limited edition live DVD's.

Now in 2008, SOTHIS has completed their much-anticipated debut full-length album entitled "De Oppresso Liber." The album transcends their demo by leaps and bounds in their performance, production and songwriting. The album was tracked in Los Angeles and then mixed in Varberg, Sweden by Andy LaRocque of KING DIAMOND fame at his Sonic Train Studios. With their new album in hand, SOTHIS is now anxiously awaiting its release and their return to the road
