''Desert of Azazel'' is a trance/ ecstatic piece performed with rock instruments (a story which begun with ''Ritualis Draconis, pt II: Rising of the Dragonforce'' and continued with ''Black Sphere, pt I: Black Ecstasy''). No keyboards were used. ''Desert of Azazel'' which has a true magical output, ended up purely ecstatic, channeling certain energies and forces we wanted. Thomas Karlsson recitates, leading the dance of the Dragons and the words like mantras talk directly to one's soul. Listen focused, in high volume and experience the Dragon rising from the depths.

Jest/będzie to gdzieś u nas do kupienia?

Nie wiem, ale wątpie żeby były problemy z dostępnością tego materiału w PL.


Napiszę krótko: mamy do czynienia z dziełem wyjątkowym. A przecież mogli pójść na łatwiznę i zrobić wariacje na temat "Seeing Through the Shadow Consciousness".
Moje uznanie budzi też fakt, że to są Grecy - a tak naprawdę stricte greckich patentów wyrobionych przez ostatnie 20lat tam za wiele nie usłyszymy. WŁASNA TOŻSAMOŚĆ.

During summer of 2013 I asked Christofer Johnsson to participate in the album. A guest vocals appearance was what I had in mind. The idea would be to sing in the song ''The Veritable Red Dragon'' in the vein of 1995's album Lepaca Kliffoth (i.e ''Let the new Day begin'' at 01.10 - 01.34: ''So enter to our Spheres, the darkest voids..'' or ''Darkness Eve'' at 03.39 - 03.54: 'Gorarah, I hail you...'' as well as the rest of the song- see links below).
I think his vocals in this album are amazing: Rather T.G. Warrior influenced, but with that addition of magnificent experimental ''industrial'' touches and so much feeling. However, Christofer has had another idea: he suggested to contribute with a Hammond Organ contribution instead (since he has left his vocal duties for rather many years). In this case, ''Mephistophelian Pacts'', would be the proper song and his unique performance on Hammond Organ would create the atmosphere for the arrival of something truly Grand - (as Thomas Karlsson states in the lyrics: ''.. The Demons' bells are ringing to celebrate the appearance of the gentleman Devil!'').
Having the musician who has so much influenced SN's music in first place through the albums of Therion brings up an unparalleled feeling (..and it was not only the music itself but also his innovation and the strife to create something different and fresh- it is in there where true creativity lies!). Actually, the Therion albums, especially from 1993's Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas to 2000's Deggial have stigmatized many moments of my teenage years and early adulthood. Leaving aside this very important contribution, ''Mephistophelian Pacts'' (as well as ''Desert of Azazel''), signifies a totally new era for Serpent Noir.
