Drone odszedł a tu widzę, że ASCENSION zaczyna być doceniany. Jeszcze z pół roku i powstanie sonda METALLICA vs ACCUSER :)) Muszę do tego ASCENSION powrócić - Ihasan mnie zachęcił tą analogią z WATAIN. Strasznie słodka, komercyjna i odpychająca mi się ta płyta wydawała a dziś cenię ją chyba najbardziej spośród całej ich dyskografii i zaliczam do najczęściej słuchanych albumów ostatnich lat.

To jest właśnie fenomen tego albumu WATAIN - jak siądzie nie możesz się od niego uwolnić. Nóżka chodzi w aucie, zimny łokieć mimo -3 z rana, machasz dynią w aucie na czerwonym, ludzie patrzą się jak na debila, a Ty wkręcasz się w ten album coraz to bardziej z każdym kolejnym przesłuchaniem. Tak samo mam/miałem z "Consolamentum" i szczerze powiedziawszy w nosie mam czy ktoś uważa to za produkt wtórny, kopię DsO posypaną cukrem pudrem z podwójną porcją dżemu - bo ja uwielbiam pączki. :) He he he... Muszę sobie jeszcze strzelić to pierwsze demo, które wyszło na CD i LP.

Jeszcze lepsze od "Consolamentum" było demo, moim skromnym zdaniem. Więcej hostii, mniej andruta. :-)

słucham ostatnio dość często. bardzo dobra płyta. świetnie wypośrodkowane proporcje pomiędzy graniem "progresywnym", a zakorzenieniem w tradycji metalu. "Consolamentum" nie jest może tak mocne jak "Paracletus", ale zdecydowanie wybija się ponad przeciętność. jak dla mnie to 7,5/10

Tez sie przekonalem do tej plyty.Po pierwszym podejsciu,jakos nie przekonala mnie,przelozylem na oltarzu Plonace Jezory nad nia,ale po dluzszym rozbracie powrocilem do wielokrotnych przesluchan i "kliklo",zajebioza plyta.

For the past nine months, Ascension has shut out the world to the utmost extent in order to focus and contemplate. What seemed like a deathlike silence was, indeed, but a calm before the storm. In darkness and death, through tragedy and turmoil the seed of a new dawn was planted. In the year of Saturn the follow up to „Consolamentum“ shall be released. We are in the last phase of preparation before entering The Source studio again, almost exactly four years after our debut.
For the 2nd album we will once again join the ranks of WTC Productions, a label that holds high the ideals of extreme art.
In the coming weeks, all messages will be answered, all relevant information will be spread here. On this occasion we would like to take the chance to hail all sons and daughters of the dragon that have supported us thus far and that are willing to join us on the dark paths that lay ahead.

Ascension - Deathless Light - EP - to be released on October,31st

As a precursor to their forthcoming second album, German black metal tyrants ASCENSION unleash the Deathless Light EP. Ever aptly titled, this two-song strike beams brilliantly with an illumination that can only come from the most fathomless, pure-obsidian depths of the spirit. ASCENSION's debut album, 2010's Consolamentum, became a classic in the underground not long after its release; it evinced a wealth of maturity in composition and execution for such a new band. Here, the quintet extend that maturity even further, unfurling orthodox black metal that brims with creativity and passion, fervor and professionalism, utter darkness and radiant glory, every note and nuance exactly where it should be and nothing wasted nor sacrificed. The title track will feature on ASCENSION's upcoming new album for W.T.C., while "Garden of Stone" is exclusive to this release. Deathless Light shines on...
