Boston, Massachusetts technical death/thrash power trio Revocation have come a long way since releasing their "Summon the Spawn" demo in 2006. The critically acclaimed follow-up album "Empire Of the Obscene" already saw them doing great things, but their Relapse Records debut "Existence Is Futile" is the band's crowning achievement. Roll-out single 'Dismantle the Dictator' sets the bar for this record. This is technical death/thrash that combines the individual strengths of genre luminaries Watchtower, Atheist and (early) Pestilence in groovy, insanely catchy tracks. 'Across Forests and Fjords' is Revocation's interpretation of black metal. Anthony Buda (bass) and David Davidson (guitars) share vocal duties and their two-way vocal interplay is the best in the genre this side of Into Eternity. The bass guitar is deliciously audible and Buda's funky bass lines recall Steve Harris' work in Iron Maiden or Steve DiGiorgio's session work with Death, although Buda has a style all his own. "Existence Is Futile" delivers the promise of both "Summon the Spawn" and "Empire Of the Obscene" in spades. This is technical death/thrash that is both classic in songwriting and sleek in execution. Recorded at Damage Studios in Southbridge, Massachusetts, with engineer Pete Rutcho the record is graced with a pristine bass-heavy production that holds tons of clarity while retaining the heaviness. The fantastic artwork forms a great throwback to the thrash records of old. Revocation is bound to become a big name in the genre. What a fantastic record.

...co do saksofonu to był to przypadek całkowity. Bo idąc coś zjeść do miasta napotkaliśmy kolesia który na ulicy grał na saksofonie. Zagadałem do niego żeby nagrał nam jakieś partie i zgodził się. Oczywiście nie miał pojęcia na co się porwał, do tego komunikacja nie była najlepsza, bo okazał się być obywatelem Ukrainy i język polski nie był dobry albo w ogóle go nie było...
